Vision: To
provide Tyler ISD’s Career and Technical Education students the opportunity
to participate in a rigorous and relevant career and technical education
program that leads to academic achievement and successful employment in a
global economy.
Mission:
Tyler ISD’s Career and Technical Education mission is to provide rigorous
and relevant technical education programs to prepare students for high
skill, high wage, or high demand careers.
Planning for your future is a pretty big deal. Maybe you're thinking about college, or planning to get a head start by earning college credits while
still in high school. Or maybe your goal is to land a successful career right after
high school. Whether you've thought about a job helping others, being your own boss, or
turning a hobby into a career, you have a lot of choices to make.
You can start making those choices now – and planning for your future today – through the Career and Technical Education programs available
in Tyler ISD. CTE programs are
designed to give students a glimpse into the future. To help find your
passion and discover your talents, start by exploring the Career Clusters
(or broad job families) and then choosing the appropriate CTE courses that
help you prepare for a career.
Please visit your counselor to learn more about the following career clusters,
offered in Tyler ISD, through Career and Technical Education:
