CAMPUS EVENTS

Ongoing

Bell and Dixie Elementary Schools
Pen Pal Partnership
4th Grade Students

English Language Arts teachers from Bell Elementary and Dixie Elementary are coming together to provide an opportunity for students to develop pen pal friendships and work on their writing skills at the same time. Students will be doing this Pen pal partnership using email. Teachers hope that connecting students across the district will allow students to build friendships, show that students in TISD are learning the same information and using the same curriculums, and give them a chance to use letter writing skills.

Through April 29

Caldwell Elementary School
Art Display

Caldwell Elementary Arts Academy is displaying student made art work in the Caldwell Auditorium along with two other schools during the month of April. Half of the art consist of Greek Mythology drawings of mythological creatures. The people of Greece have passed these stories from generation to generation for over 2,000 years! The other part of the Caldwell Elementary display is entitled “Rhythms from Nature”. They are linear landscapes made by second graders which depict patterns of natural elements of the earth such as mountains, trees, waves, etc. The students learned that rhythm and patterns exist not only in music but in the world around them.
