Works in concert with: Associate Principal, Head Coach, 9th
Grade Academic Dean |

Serves as a liaison between the district level curriculum
department, campus administration, and staff in the delivery of the
district wide plan for curriculum, instruction, and staff
development.

Meets regularly with district level staff, confers with campus
administration on curriculum, instructional focus, and staff
development plans.
|

|
Monitor and ensure use of aligned curriculum and the implementation
thereof. |

Facilitates the writing and construction of performance criteria and
assessment materials.
|

|
Closely monitors benchmark data and analyzes student performance and
teaching methods in the content areas. |

|
Oversees instructional specialists in providing direct service to
teachers and other staff. |

|
Oversee mentoring program for new teachers and orients new teachers
in the content areas and instructional strategies.
|

|
Conducts staff development for teachers and instructional
specialists in the content areas and instructional strategies.
|

|
Systematically and continuously monitors instructional process to
ensure that program activities are related to program outcomes.
|

|
Uses evaluative findings for corrective action and improvement, as
well as for recognition of success. |

Informs teachers of major curriculum trends and developments and
leads study groups of current research. |

|
Holds regular meetings with the department chairpersons on an
individual and group basis in order to facilitate communication and
evaluate instruction within the departments. |

Facilitates the preparation of curriculum and alignment materials,
assessment materials, inventories and budget requests for staff
development and materials. |

|
Participates in collaborative processes to develop campus
improvement plans with staff, parents, and community members.
|

|
Facilitates campus planning and scheduling in coordination with the
district plan.
|
-
|
Assists principal in maintaining and using information systems to
track progress on campus performance objectives and academic
excellence indicators. |

|
Participates in the development and evaluation of the educational
programs. |
-
|
Encourages and supports the development of innovative instructional
programs, helping teachers pilot such efforts when appropriate.
|

|
Promotes the use of technology in the teaching/learning process.
|

|
Assists the principal in interviewing, selecting, and orienting new
staff.
|

|
Performs classroom visitations and procures consultants to model
strategies necessary to ensure the implementation of the curriculum. |

Monitors curriculum implementation through effective coaching
methods.
|
-
|
Demonstrate effective coaching and guidance skills and inspire both
the respect and the trust of principals, teachers, and other
colleagues.
|

|
Conducts training and ensures implementation of Walk-throughs and
PDAS observations.
|
-
|
Works with teachers through content areas to implement curriculum
and assessment instruments and interventions based upon student
data. |

|
Facilitates analysis of student performance data at assigned campus.
|

|
Uses student achievement data for planning and evaluating programs.
|
-
|
Improve leadership skills through self-initiated professional
development activities. |

|
Promote the content relevance and effectiveness in terms of TEKS.

|
Facilitates coordination with Response to Intervention (RTI)
program, preparation, grouping, tutorials, and after school program.
|

|
Perform
duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner as defined
in the TEA Code of Ethics for Educators.

|
Keep current on professional written materials.
|

|
Uses information provided through the District appraisal process to
improve performance of all staff.
|

|
Performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as related to
the position as assigned.
