628B - FACILITATOR OF SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT
REPORTS TO: Coordinator of Title I
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provides administrative management and oversight of the Title I School Improvement process and leadership and support to campuses involved in the School Improvement Stages.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational/Certification
Bachelor’s Degree, with appropriate state certification
Master’s degree
Administrative Credential
Special Knowledge and Skills
Possess knowledge and understanding of technology and its importance in the educational process to enhance student services/programs.
Possess knowledge of computers, networks, multimedia, and educational software programs.
Manages educational programs and administrative functions.
Share vision of district’s commitment of technology in the classroom.
Possess basic understanding of the impact of technology in assigned curricular areas.
Possess understanding of Technology Applications and TEKS for students and working knowledge of computer lab instructional strategies.
Experience:
Three Year Teaching Experience
Campus or district level leadership experience.
Experience in Title I program management.
Successful project management and staff development experience.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Administrative/Professional; Pay Grade 3; 226 days

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Administrative Leadership |

1. |
Coordinate completion & submission of NCLB Title I School Improvement and School. |
|
2. |
Improvement Academy Application and Compliance Reports. |
|
3. |
Obtain information, data, and all forms necessary to fulfill the requirements of the Title I School Improvement and School Improvement Academy applications. |
|
4. |
Obtain and evaluate findings (including student achievement data) to examine curriculum and instructional program effectiveness. |
|
5. |
Coordinate with campus principals to ensure compliance with reservation of funds for parental involvement and professional development activities. |
|
6. |
Review campus two-year school improvement plans to ensure inclusion of 10 Title I components and school improvement and academy guidelines. |
|
7. |
Evaluate effectiveness of instructional program for School Improvement Campuses and District program support and provide recommendations. |
|
8. |
Coordinate parent notifications for schools that may be identified for school improvement for upcoming school. |
|
9. |
Coordinate parent notifications for school choice for schools identified in Stage 1 of School Improvement. |
|
10. |
Coordinate parent notifications for Supplemental Education Services (SES) for schools identified in Stage 2 or above of School Improvement. |

11. |
Attend School Improvement Introductory Meetings, school improvement conference and SES Management System training. |
|
12. |
Recruit student participation in SES services through mailings, parent meetings, public notice, radio, etc. |
|
13. |
Contact SES Providers for students accepting SES services, contract with SES Providers, review student learning plans for SES, and manage student services for SES. |
|
14. |
Perform other duties as assigned. |

Campus Support |
|
15. |
Prepare in conjunction with campus principal, budgets for Title I School Improvement and School Improvement Academy Grants for campuses identified for school improvement. |
|
16. |
Work with campuses on campus improvement planning, resources, and evaluation. |
|
17. |
Consider and evaluate all requests from school personnel for projects and programs requiring Title I School Improvement and School Improvement Academy funds. |
|
18. |
Monitor all campus level purchases made with Title I School Improvement and School Improvement Academy funds. |
|
19. |
Conduct in-service education workshops in the writing of performance objectives, the drafting of project proposals, and the interpreting of specifications for Title I School Improvement and School Improvement Academy funding. |

Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required, related to the school improvement process, including required financial reports to TEA. |

27. |
Manages and oversees all user data required for effective program implementation. |
|
28. |
Prepares and presents a variety of comprehensive reports and project summaries. |

effectively both verbally and written, maintain emotional control under
stress; ability to coordinate and facilitate district-wide curriculum
instructional technology projects; managing high levels of stress when
technology becomes inoperative; expecting and reflecting the highest
expectations.
Physical demands/environmental factors: Staying focused and organized;
using computer for prolonged periods of time.
