606 - COMPUTER PROGRAMMER
REPORTS TO: Director, Technology Services
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s degree
2. At least two years successful computer programming experience
3. Knowledge of various programming languages and computer applications. RPG
experience desired.
4. Knowledge of operating system OS/400 and knowledge of applications
development tools--AS/400 PDM, SEU, & QUERY.
5. Ability to develop and maintain systems documentation & technical
assistance manuals.
6. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may
find appropriate.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Administrative/Professional Pay Grade 2, 228 daysWage/Hour Status: Exempt
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Provides programming-related support for administrative applications (i.e., student, payroll, finance, personnel, etc.) |

Communicates with administrative and clerical personnel to determine
processing needs, clarify requests, |

Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board
of Education rule, and the local Board of Trustees |

Keeps informed about new state and federal guidelines and laws. |

Compiles, maintains, and files all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required. |

EQUIPMENT USED:
Computer, copier, fax, and related data processing equipment.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands: Reading, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress; coordinate several requests simultaneously.
Physical Demands: Moderate standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting; repetitive hand motions and prolonged use of computer. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.; frequent district-wide travel.
