753 B Maintenance Dispatcher


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED.

  2. Keyboarding and computer proficiency.

  3. Ability to read and write the English language and follow instructions.

  4. Demonstrates aptitute for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities.

  5. Computation, organizational and communication skills.

  6. Willingness to work occasional overtime.

  7. Ability to manage multiple tasks.         

REPORTS TO:                                    Director of Maintenance

JOB GOALS:     

  1. To maintain accurate work order data, dispatch work orders both routine and emergency via radio, and assist department foremen with clerical work.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  Noncontractual (At-will);Paygrade 3  Estimated   228   days;   estimated 8 hours  daily Wage/hour status:  nonexempt


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
 

  1.  

Maintains accurate work order data.
  1.  

Close work orders promptly.
  1.  

Dispatch routine and emergency work orders efficiently.
  1.  

Assemble and write work order data reports via computer.
  1.  

Create work orders at the request of the director.
  1.  

Approve work orders in program 451.
  1.  

Estimate work orders in program 452.
  1.  

Print work orders from program 880.
  1.  

Answer telephone and dispatch calls as needed.
  1.  

Maintain closed work order files.
  1.  

Assign purchase orders to work orders.
  1.  

Is prompt and timely in completing daily tasks.
  1.  

Complies with directions and instructions from supervisor and performs other tasks and assumes responsibilities as may be assigned.

Maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and others in the conduct of district business and demonstrates team work in daily activities.
  1.  

Meets attendance standards and complies with notification procedures for absenses.

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Mental Demands:  Reading; ability to perform basic arithmetic; ability to communicate effectively (verbal); maintain emotional control under stress.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:  Works with frequent interruptions; continuous sitting.
