QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of policies, objectives, priorities and standard operating procedures in the production of video programming.
Knowledgeable of or quickly able to learn school division policies, objectives, priorities, and operating procedures.
Demonstrates ability to work and get along with people.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Such alternatives as to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Manual/Trades Pay Grade 8, 228 days Wage/hour Status: Non-Exempt
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
| 1. | Manages Resources and daily activities of the TV Production Facility. |
| 2. | Coordinates and participates in the video taping of the District’s school events and other related activities. |
| 3. | Assigns duties to the production staff |
| 4. | Sets example for production staff both in quality and quantity of work. |
| 5. | Supervises production staff |
| 6. | Maintains positive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues and others in the conduct of district business and demonstrates team work in daily activities. |
| 7. | Implements broadcast schedule for TISD TV 19 and determines need for use of various sources of programming. |
| 8. | Incorporates and maintains the use of satellite downlink programming. |
| 9. |
creates commercial-quality video-based productions with expertise in the utilization of technical equipment and software |
| 10. | Assists in bulletin board operation. |
| 11. |
researches content, and writes or adapts scripts to meet content and production standards;
|
| 12. |
produces and directs integrated multimedia projects which meet technical requirements for delivery via various digital mediums |
| 13. |
Presents a positive role model that supports the mission of the school district. |
| 14. |
Maintains a positive and effective relationship with supervisors and colleagues. |
| 15. |
Deals sensitively and fairly with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds. |
| 16. |
Ensures quality video tape, audio setup, and mixing in the studio and on location. |
| 17. |
Maintains appropriate setup lighting in the studio and on location. |
| 18. |
Performs creative editing using linear and nonlinear formats including but not limited to assemble editing, insert editing, storyboard editing. |
| 19. |
Creates computer graphic designs when requested. |
| 20. |
Assists in directing the multi-camera live television productions. |
| 21. |
Communicates with administrative personnel, including Director of Communications, when producing TV productions. |
| 22. |
Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local Board of Trustees in pursuing the mission of the school district. |
| 23. |
Keeps informed about new state and federal guidelines and laws. |
| 24. |
Improves leadership skills through self-initiated professional development activities. |
| 25. |
Performs duties in a professional, ethical, and responsible manner as defined in the TEA Code of Ethics for Educators. |
| 26. |
Uses information provided through the District appraisal process to improve performance. |
| 27. |
Performs other tasks and assumes such responsibilities as related to the position and as assigned. |

EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, copier, fax and related television production equipment.
Working Conditions: Mental Demands: Reading, ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control under stress; work cooperatively with others.
Physical Demands: Moderate standing, stooping, bending and lifting.
