Orr Elementary School students are recognized for showing Ownership, Respect, and Responsibility. Teachers and staff record positive behaviors through a Cub Pride Referral system. These students are recognized daily at the morning assembly. Each slip is then placed into a drawing for a bicycle on a 6 weeks basis.

Congratulations to the following Hubbard Middle School students for placing in the UIL Art Competition:

8th grade:  Hunter Trew – first place
Christopher Hawkins – 6th place
7th grade: Aram Miles – first place
Mekaela Morena – 3rd place


Robert E. Lee High School student, Jessica Emery, has been honored for her exemplary volunteer service with a state level Certificate of Excellence from the 2011 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program. Presented annually by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honor young people across America for outstanding community service activities.


Congratulations to the following Robert E. Lee High School students who won 1st place in the poster board competition at T.A.F.E State:
Bridget Reily 11th grade
Sarah Kleeburg 11th grade
Sara McDonald 11th grade
The girls were one of five schools out of 60 that received a perfect score.

The second place winner in T.A.F.E. State for her Multi Media Presentation (Power Point) was Abby Jameson, 11th Grader


The Stewart Middle School 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team won the City Championship Tournament.  Jeremy Watts led all scorers with 16 points. Travonte Wade contributed 13 points and Giovarri McCollister added in 11 points to the team total.
