and Northeast Texas Public Health District Tyler ISD, in partnership with Northeast Texas Public Health District (NET Health), is offering parents the opportunity to get their child’s immunizations up to date before the new school year begins in August. As part of a measure, implemented by the state of Texas, students will not be allowed to enroll in school until immunization requirements are met. Two grade levels impacted the most are students entering kindergarten and seventh grade. Immunization clinics have been scheduled for the following dates and times at Tyler ISD middle school campuses. These are open immunization clinics where no appointment is required and students from any Tyler ISD school and any grade level are welcome to attend. All clinics are from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The cost is $8.00 per vaccine. Medicaid is accepted with Medicaid card. Thursday, April 7 Dogan Middle School – Cafeteria 2621 North Border Avenue Tuesday, May 3 Boulter Middle3 School – Cafeteria 2926 Garden Valley Road Thursday, May 5 Hogg Middle School – Cafeteria 920 South Broadway Avenue Thursday, May 12 Hubbard Middle School – Cafeteria 1300 Hubbard Drive Tuesday, May 17 Moore Middle School – Library 1200 South Tipton Avenue Thursday, May 19 Stewart Middle School – Cafeteria 2800 West Shaw Street
Parents are encouraged to please take their children, along with current immunization records, to one of these clinics for the needed immunizations, so there is no delay in school attendance. In addition to these clinics, the NET Health Immunizations Clinic is open for child immunizations on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8am – 11am and 1pm – 4pm and Wednesdays, 8am – 11am and 1pm – 6pm. If parents have a question about their children’s shot records, they may call either the Tyler ISD Health Services office at 903-262-3131 or NET Health Immunizations Department at 903-510-5604. ### |
