TISD Students Make UIL Debate Meet
Tyler ISD is proud to announce that two students have qualified for the 2010- 2011 University Interscholastic League State Cross-Examination Debate Meet being held this week in Austin. Robert E. Lee High School juniors, Joseph Seeber and Austin Martel, qualified for the state meet by placing first at the UIL Cross-Examination District Meet recently held in Longview, Texas.
UIL academic contests range from social studies to accounting and from computer science e to poetry interpretation. Of the 2.2 million students who participated in the UIL activities last year, 637,000 competed in one or more the 23 general academic contests.
