Seven to Graduate from St. Louis School

A special celebration will take place in the Tyler Independent School District.  St. Louis School will host their graduation ceremony on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. at St Louis School, located at 2800 Walton Road, Tyler.  The students graduating will be: Jeffery Alonzo, Luis Chapa, Susanna Gallardo, David McCoy, Munaib Shahid, David Tierrablanca, and Jaime Wakefield.

 

            “St. Louis has seven graduates this year which is a large class for us,” said Karyn Hacker, Principal of St. Louis School.  “Each of these students has unique abilities and personalities.  They have worked hard to master their individual goals and we are very proud of their accomplishments.  We wish them and their families the best in this new chapter of life that they are entering into.”

 

Jeffrey Alonzo has been a student at St. Louis School for nine years.  Jeffrey likes to be social and wave at the people he sees.  He laughs a lot as he finds most things funny.  Jeffrey is a good-natured young man whose favorite leisure activities are looking at magazines for babies and ones with good-looking food.  His favorite school activities are snack and meal times.

 

Luis Chapa has been a student at St. Louis for two years.  His favorite school activity is helping with separating and shredding newspapers.  He also enjoys being a teaching assistant in music class, giving the class directions and leading the activities. Luis’ favorite leisure activity is sitting, relaxing, and drinking a coke.

 

Susanna “Anna” Gallardo has been a student at St. Louis for nine years.  Anna’s favorite school activities are singing, parties, lunchtime, Community Based Instruction (CBI), and cooking activities. Her favorite leisure activities are looking at magazines, swinging, using the computer, sitting with her teacher’s assistant, and going for a walk. 

 

David McCoy has been a student at St. Louis since he was a year old in 1988.  David likes to play with the parachute during group time in the classroom, and loves “Songs I Sing” on the computer. His favorite leisure activities are listening to music, watching Sponge Bob, and playing with the colorful bells at school

 

Munaib Shahid has been a student at St. Louis for eight years.  Munaib likes all activities that allow him to be around other people.  Munaib loves to socialize.  In his leisure time, he likes to play catch, laugh and have a good time.

 

David Tierrablanca has been a student at St. Louis for ten years.  His favorite school activities are music, PE, and dining out.  David is very caring, especially towards his mom.  He is friendly and likes to say “hello” to everyone.  David’s favorite leisure activities are the treadmill, looking at car magazines, and playing UNO.

 

Jaime Wakefield has been a student at St. Louis for eight years.  Her favorite school activities are dances and bowling.  Jaime is friendly, funny and likes to joke around and play pranks on people.  Her favorite leisure activities are listening to music of all kinds and shopping with her mother.
