News Release Tyler ISD Celebrates Successful Test Scores
The Tyler Independent School District is proud to announce that all schools in the District are Academically Acceptable or above in the Texas Education Agency (TEA) AEIS Campus Rating.
“We are very proud of the hard work and effort of all of our teachers and staff who helped to make this accomplishment possible,” said Tyler ISD Superintendent Dr. Randy Reid. “We know we still have a lot of work ahead of us in preparing for the continual rising federal standards and the new state accountability system, State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR). This new system will begin the implementation of End of Course (EOC) Exams, which includes twelve tests for our high school students.”
For the first time in many years, Tyler ISD has fifteen schools whose test scores advanced their ratings to the level of Recognized or Exemplary. This year the following are Recognized campuses, including three middle schools: Austin Elementary Birdwell Elementary Bonner Elementary Caldwell Elementary Clarkston Elementary Jones Elementary Orr Elementary Peete Elementary Rice Elementary Andy Woods Elementary Hogg Middle School Hubbard Middle School Moore MST Magnet School
Two Tyler ISD campuses received the highest recognition of Exemplary: Dr. Bryan C. Jack Elementary Owens Elementary
These 15 Tyler ISD campuses will be recognized for their accomplishments and the District’s Convocation event scheduled for all District employees on Thursday, August 19.
