Seven Tyler ISD Campuses Named High-Performing Schools
The National Center for Educational Accountability (NCEA) named Bell Elementary School, Caldwell Elementary School, Griffin Elementary School, Hubbard Middle School, Peete Elementary School, Austin Elementary School, and Woods Elementary School to the “Just for the Kids (JFTK) 2009 High-Performing Schools” list.
Hubbard Middle School has been recognized for academic excellence in Middle School Writing. Bell, Caldwell, and Austin elementary schools have been recognized for academic excellence in Elementary Writing. Woods Elementary School has been recognized for academic excellence in Elementary Reading. Griffin Elementary School has been recognized for academic excellence in Elementary Math, Reading, and Writing.
All of the High Performing Schools in Texas will be celebrated this week at recognition ceremonies in Austin, Houston, and Dallas.
The JFTK Honor Roll is a criteria-based award. Schools do not fill out lengthy applications to be eligible. Instead, the JFTK Higher Performing School Lists feature schools that grow their student’s academic performance more than students of similar schools.
