TISD Middle School to Hold MYP IB Parent Orientation
James S. Hogg Middle School features a fully authorized advanced studies International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP). An orientation for interested parents is scheduled for Thursday, January 7, 2010, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m in the Davidson Room at the Jim Plyler Instructional Complex, located at 807 West Glenwood, in Tyler.
Current fifth grade students and their parents are invited to learn more about this exciting opportunity. Program information and application packets will be available at the meeting for all interested students.
“The Hogg IB program is considered to be one of the best Middle Years Programs in the United States,” said Cindy Woody, Tyler ISD Coordinator of Advanced Academics. “I am so pleased to see this program growing, and I hope many more students will take advantage of the opportunities provided by the highly trained staff at Hogg.” Woody encourages parents to look at Hogg’s program as an amazing option for their students.
