Fantastic Fridays Celebrate Student Success

For the past 3 years, Friday mornings have been different at Bell Elementary School. Instead of students going to their assigned classrooms, all the students and faculty at Bell meet in the gymnasium at 7:45 a.m.  Why the change on Fridays? Well, the Bell staff works to make every Friday a Fantastic Friday!

Each Friday morning, the school joins together to say the U.S. and state pledges, have a character education lesson, and celebrate successes that have taken place during the week. Teachers select and announce their “MVP” (Most Valuable Player) of the week, awards are given to classes with great behavior in the café, and classes are recognized for having “No Tardies” for the week.  At the end of Fantastic Friday, one class is awarded “MVT”(Most Valuable Team) of the week and is passed the coveted MVT trophy. The MVT celebrates by having a special Friday lunch with a school administrator.

“Large and small successes happen every day at Bell,” said principal, Keri Hampton.  “And Fantastic Friday is a great way to celebrate the wonderful things going on at our school.”
