National Ranking Reveals TISD Keeps Students

Safe When Searching Online

 

            A top 100 national ranking of school districts, indicating which districts keep students safest when searching online, has been released. For the second year in a row, the Tyler Independent School District, for the 2008-2009 school year, ranked in the top 50 school districts across the country.

 

            "Tyler ISD is so very honored to receive this recognition for a second year in a row,” said John Orbaugh, Tyler ISD Director of Technology Services.  “netTrekker is an integral part of our strategy for providing quality learning opportunities that engage students.             The Technology Services department will be recognized for this accomplishment at the regular school board meeting on Thursday, November 19 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Plyler Instructional Complex located at 807 West Glenwood, in Tyler.
