TISD Foundation Relocation and New
Contact Information Announcement
The Tyler ISD Foundation has relocated to the Blackstone Building in
downtown Tyler. This move will give the Foundation a location better
suited for community outreach and awareness. The Blackstone Building,
across the street from the Discovery Science Place, houses the Chamber
of Commerce, the Economic Development Council, Leadership Tyler, the
East Texas Communities Foundation and other entities involved with
community activities.
“We are excited about a new location for
the Tyler ISD Foundation,” said Mike Thomas, President of the Foundation
since 2006. “Our mission will remain the same: to provide resources
which inspire learning for the 18,000 students of Tyler ISD and enrich
teacher and employee opportunities for the more than 2,500 employees.
Our new location in downtown Tyler will help create more visible
community awareness for the school district and our non-profit education
foundation.”

The Foundation will continue to receive
campus mail addressed to Tyler ISD Administration Building from Tyler
ISD employees and campuses. The Foundation Board of Directors and staff
will continue to support Tyler ISD through grants, events and program
funding as they have since their inception in 1990. The Foundation has
been located in the Tyler ISD Administration Building for 18 years.
