(TASA) where new legislation, school finance, etc. are
presented. As a part of school district attendance, a
delegate assembly is held and each district sends one

The Board of Trustees
approved the purchase of property for a new middle school.
The land is 29.5 acres that is located off of Old

million, which is approximately $60,000 an acre. Andy
Bergfeld, the commercial realtor assisting Tyler ISD in this
transaction, said the purchase price of the land is
estimated to be a $25,000 an acre discount on this property
compared to other parcels of land being sold in this area.
Funding for the property will be provided from 2008 bond

Dogan, and Stewart Middle Schools and provide additional
resources for John Tyler High School Mathematics teachers.
