A Summary of the May 17, 2010, Tyler ISD Board of Trustees Workshop Meeting

Board Approves Canvass of Election Returns

The Board of Trustees approved the canvass of votes from the May 8, 2010, trustee election as presented proclaiming Therelee Washington as trustee for Single Member District 3, Eleno Licea as trustee for Single Member District 1 and Michelle Carr as trustee for Single Member District 6. The term of office is for three years.

 Newly Elected Trustees Take Office

The oath of office was administered to Therelee Washington as trustee for Single Member District 3, Eleno Licea as trustee for Single Member District 1 and Michelle Carr as trustee for Single Member District 6. The newly elected trustees will each serve a three-year term. 

Board Authorizes and Approves President and Vice President

The Board of Trustees approved Ron Vickery, Single Member District 7, as the Board President, and Michelle Carr, Single Member District 6, as the Board Vice President.    They will serve in these positions for one year.

GMP for Two  Elementary Construction Projects Approved

The Board of Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) in the amount of $8,972,989.00 to RPR Construction Company, Inc. for the GMP Building Package for Birdwell Elementary School and $9,534,215.00 for the GMP Building Package for Owens Elementary School.  This amount reflects a total within the 2008 bond budget.
