IMPORTANT NOTICE --
The Administration Offices, with the exception of the Human
Resources Department, of the Tyler Independent School District, will be
closed Friday, July 3, through Friday, July 17.
The Human Resources Department will be open for business Monday, July 6
through Wednesday, July 8 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and
Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All Administration Offices will reopen at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20.
Seven to
Graduate from St. Louis School
A special
celebration will take place in the Tyler Independent School District. St.
Louis School will host their graduation ceremony on Wednesday, July 15,
2009, at 4:00 p.m. at St Louis School, located at 2800 Walton Road, Tyler.
The students graduating will be: Jeffery Alonzo, Luis Chapa, Susanna
Gallardo, David McCoy, Munaib Shahid, David Tierrablanca, and Jaime
Wakefield.

Attempting to Help (PATH) will begin its annual collection for school
supplies Wednesday, July 1. The event will continue throughout July.
The
organization hopes to collect supplies for 18,000 children in Smith County
schools, elementary, middle and high school.
Donations are being accepted at PATH, 402 W. Front St., Tyler-area fire
stations and supporting congregations. Office Depot will be holding a
special collection sponsored by Gap Broadcasting on Saturday, July 18th, and
Saturday, July 25, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on both days.
PATH will distribute the supplies to Smith County schools in August.
Students in need of supplies should see their teachers and/or school
counselors.
The list of supplies needed is: 24-pack Crayola crayons, #2 pencils, wide
and college-ruled spiral notebooks, wide and college-ruled notebook paper,
Elmer’s glue sticks, blue or black pens, five-tab dividers, colored pocket
folders with brads, wooden rulers, and
two-inch, three-ring binders.
